In the summer of ’64 a friend of mine bought a Ford Mustang tudor here in Houston for $3400 with no trade-in. I don’t know what was under the hood or what transmission it had. It was blue with narrow band white sidewalls. I haven’t priced cars in a decade, but I suspect you can’t lay hands on a similar car today for 12-15 times that.
