  1. The first wireless phone call was not made 43 years ago, in 1973, by Motorola employee Martin Cooper.

    Nathan Stubblefield gave a series of public demonstrations of a battery-operated wireless telephone in 1902. He transported his instrument to different locations and used it on mobile platforms such as boats.

    If you look carefully at the reflection, you can see the photographer taking the picture with a cellphone.
